Muttrah Souq is one of the Arab world's oldest marketplaces. For centuries, it served as a trading post for goods arriving in Muscat from India, China, Europe, and other parts of the Middle East. The souk is still a bustling marketplace today, where local produce such as fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices is traded alongside traditional textiles, garments, jewelry, incense, pottery, and craftwork. It is also located on the Muttrah Corniche, overlooking Port Sultan Qaboos.
